four-photosJordan Haynie Ware, long characterized as “the Episcopal Leslie Knope” for her tenacity, drive, and commitment to following Jesus in the Episcopal way, is the author of The Ultimate Quest: A Geek’s Guide to (the Episcopal) Church and “Women of Valor: Exploring the Church’s Treatment of Women Through the Religions of Westeros, Kobol, and Thedas,” which will appear in the forthcoming volume Rape Culture, Gender Violence, and Religion, edited by Caroline Blyth and Emily Colgan. Jordan serves the church as priest associate for youth & young adult ministry in Fort Worth, Texas, where she also chairs the Commission on Ministry for the diocese. In 2015, she was appointed to serve on the Episcopal Church-United Methodist Church dialogue committee for full communion. A 2007 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Ukraine), she graduated Yale Divinity School in 2013.

She lives into her geeky identity every week at the Pathfinder table, where her current character is a half-orc sorcerer. Jordan lives with her husband and their retired racing greyhound.
